1. TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

- Navigation data

During their normal operation the computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, be used to identify users.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifiers) of requested resources, time of request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of response from the server (successful, error, etc..) and other parameters regarding the operating system and computer environment.

These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check its correct functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical computer crimes against the site: apart from this, the data will be kept for a period of time not exceeding that necessary for the purposes for which they were collected.

 Session Cookies

The use of this type of cookies (which are not permanently stored on the user's computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) which are necessary to enable the safe and efficient navigation of the site.

The use of these cookies avoids the use of other techniques that could potentially be prejudicial to the navigational privacy of users and does not allow the acquisition of personal identification data.

Functional Cookies

The use of these cookies allows the user to navigate on the basis of a series of selected criteria, such as the preferred language, in order to improve the service provided.

This site does not use cookies for user profiling.

Cookies are not used to transmit personal information, nor are so-called persistent cookies of any kind used. Permanent cookies may only be used if it is necessary to provide a service falling within the institutional functions of the PDM Network.

Technical information about browser settings

In some browsers rules may be set to manage cookies on a site by site basis, an option that offers more precise control over privacy. This means it is possible to disable cookies from all sites except those the user trusts.

Preferences can be controlled in the following pages, depending on the browser.

It is also possible to set the browser so that a code is sent to the site to indicate that you do not want to be tracked (the "No tracking" option). For more information:

Analytics

Google Analytics is an analysis tool that helps to understand how visitors interact with the site content. A specific anonymisation function of the IP addresses has been implemented in order to make it impossible to use the data analytics to trace back to an individual person.
