Governance Group

The Network Governance Group acts as the Network steering group. It directs and plans the activities of the Network, oversees its work and the administration of its budget.

The Governance Group is composed of representatives from both the Promoting Institutions and Partners. Its size should not exceed 7 members. The Governance Group initially includes as members two representatives from the Italian Treasury, two from the OECD, as well as the Chairman of the OECD WPDM. Promoting Institutions appoint permanent members.

The Governance Group functions on the principle of consensus. It meets twice a year. It could further meet upon the request of a majority of its members. Date, time, and place of such meetings will be determined by its Members. A member that is not in a position to attend a meeting may, at its own cost, participate in other ways such as through a video or telephone link.

The Governance Group functions:

  • formulates the Network Strategic Guidelines, dedicating a special section to the Website development;
  • develops and executes the Programme of Work of the Network, approved by the WPDM;
  • supervises the Network Secretariat (see below) and the Editorial Committee for the Website;
  • directs and develops the Website providing guidelines for the Website's content and structure.

The Governance Group may consult with other interested Organisations or individual experts. It promotes the Network in order to enlarge the number of Partners and can create advisory groups.
