What is the Public Debt Network?

The PDM Network is a virtual knowledge sharing network on public debt management techniques. It offers a permanent platform of contact and dialogue among its partners, mainly by means of the PDM Network Website at www.publicdebtnet.org.

Who is involved in the Network?

The Network is a joint OECD - Italian Treasury initiative. Debt managers from OECD jurisdictions and emerging markets are invited to join the network. Private institutions, such as research centres, universities, banks and other financial institutions can also apply to join the network. The network offers a multilateral approach to public debt management policies and techniques under the aegis of the OECD WPDM and the Italian Treasury. Why should I join the Public Debt Network?

The network's purpose is to share knowledge on debt management techniques and best practices among its members. Its focus covers the whole range of topics with special emphasis on the problems facing debt managers from emerging markets. The menu bar at the left hand site gives a good idea about the broad range of policy topics. Members of the network include debt managers, financial policy makers, multilateral institutions, research institutions, and financial institutions. Continuous information exchange and interactive features support an intensive and comprehensive electronic policy dialogue.

How can I join the Network?

Go to the Webpage Becoming a partner and submit it to the Network Secretariat. Your request will be handled as quickly as possible and a representative of your organisation will be invited to sign an Agreement concerning the acceptance of the Network membership's rights and duties.
