FORUM

The great importance of the exchange of information between Advanced Countries and Emerging ones is widely recognized: Emerging Markets benefit from expertise and human capital present in Advanced countries while giving them valuable feedback about the techniques they already use. In this context, international and multilateral existing forums on PDM are extremely useful but they lack of continuity.

The aim of our Discussion Forum is to promote a permanent dialogue between public debt managers and Academics from both Emerging and Advanced countries, in order to increase the efficiency of information sharing and knowledge building while decreasing its costs.

Moreover, the PDM Forum aims at sharing the good practices in PDM techniques developed by the OECD WPDM in its policy dialogue with Emerging Market Economies.

Following the above reasons, members of the PDM Network are invited to take part, and coordinate at times, the discussion forums.

It also allows Academics to take advantage of a direct exchange of information among public debt managers and practitioners, while the online debate will profit from their theoretical insights.

In this context, members of the Network will be warmly invited to suggest a new Forum every time they feel there is an interesting issue not yet considered.

Currently, the following forum is under discussion:

How the Primary dealers activity on the REPO market is regulated?
