Promoting Institutions

The Public Debt Management (PDM) Network is a joint initiative fostered by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the Italian Treasury, and the World Bank.

Since the end of 2004, the Italian Treasury and the OECD have been collaborating by setting up the OECD – Italian Treasury PDM Network in Emerging Markets. In 2013 the World Bank joined the Network.

On February 2017, the three Organisations renewed their willingness to work in partnership in order to share and disseminate sound practice in public debt management.

The joint initiative has been renamed as the Public Debt Management Network, in order to adapt to the evolving environment of international public debt management.
