Sustainable finance in Africa: Policies, standards and driving green capital markets

Sustainable finance in emerging markets has experienced enormous growth over the past few years. There have been significant developments in ESG policies and frameworks, designed to mobilise capital for sustainability, and an increase in innovative sustainability-themed capital market products and bond issuances. This roundtable, with deputy governors from both the Central Bank of Kenya and Bank of Mauritius, discusses ESG policies that incentivise the development and transparency of sustainable financial markets across Africa.
