Launched in 2004, the PDM Network represents an original and unique initiative in the field of international cooperation and collaboration in public debt management between Governments (the Italian Treasury) and multilateral institutions (the OECD and the World Bank). 

The PDM Network is intended to provide sovereign debt managers, as well as academics, experts, and the wider public with a permanent technical centre for the diffusion of sovereign debt management techniques, experiences, and information, with the aim of further improving the quality and the effectiveness of debt management practices and strategies, in advanced economies as well as emerging markets and developing economies.

Particular attention is paid to international best practices, while keeping an eye on ongoing initiatives.
