Latin American and Caribbean countries will need additional short- and mediumterm solutions, including debt service facilities, and a review of existing concessional lending programmes and graduation policies for middle-income countries. In addition, addressing the persistent inequalities that have plagued the region will be crucial, as will be expediting the transition to welfare States that lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
