Successful central bank digital currency implementation and adoption will rely on a myriad of interconnecting factors and a well-orchestrated execution. OMFIF’s Digital Monetary Institute and Giesecke+Devrient are convening a private roundtable to explore key design criteria to ensure user adoption, finding the right balance between challenges, motivations and opportunities for all stakeholders in the future CBDC ecosystem. It also examines what we have learned from the various pilot programmes and CBDCs that have already launched.
