7th Webinar of the PDM Network: Managing Government Cash: Countries’ Evolving Approaches

The seventh webinar of the PDM Network entitled “Managing Government Cash: Countries’ Evolving Approaches” will be held on Wednesday, 28 May 2025 8-9 am EDT | 2-3 pm CEST.

Webinar Overview:

While debt management has become highly standardized with most countries relying on similar instruments and following common practices, cash management remains much more diverse. Cash managers differ in how they define liquidity and cash buffers, the instruments and metrics they use, transparency requirements, and even the secondary objectives of cash management operations. Additionally, practices have evolved significantly over the past decade, driven by new technologies, financial market development, and recent events such as the pandemic and changes in monetary policy. This PDM Network webinar, brings together international treasury experts and the OECD to examine these evolving approaches. Participants will discuss emerging practices, operational challenges, and innovative tools tailored to different national contexts. Whether you're a policy maker, debt or cash manager, academic or financial sector professional, this session offers valuable insights into the evolving landscape of sovereign cash management.
