Japan 10-yr gov't bond yield climbs to 3.115%, highest since August 1996

The yield on the newest issue of Japan's 10-year government bonds rose to 3.115 percent on Friday, its highest level since August 1996. The yield on the benchmark long-term issue, which move inversely to prices, rose on inflation concerns due to rising crude oil prices as well as on overnight gains in U.S. Treasury yields.
