No Bank of England rate rise this year, says IMF

The Bank of England will not need to raise interest rates in 2026 to combat inflation, says the International Monetary Fund (IMF). This is a more optimistic forecast than many other analysts have given. The IMF says inflation is likely to rise to just under 4% by December but the Bank would be able to get it back to its 2% target by the end of 2027 without raising interest rates – other factors being equal.  [...]
