Stablecoins could become one of the US Government’s most resilient Financial Allies
In this article, author argues that stablecoins could become one of the US government’s most important strategic assets during the next 5–10 years. Why? Percentage of foreign holdings of US debt have declined sharply over the past 15 years, a trend likely to continue given evolving geopolitical stresses and strains, including the trade tariffs enacted by the Trump Administration. Meanwhile, the Federal Reserve (Fed) remains unlikely to step up as a major buyer, given its ongoing commitment to quantitative tightening.
